We elected a black president. The last two Secretaries of State were a black man and a black woman. The guy who Obama had to the White House for a beer is a long time and well regarded Harvard Professor. The congressional black caucus has 43 members, which is about 10% of the house of representatives - black people make up about 12% of the population. Of course there's a lot more to do, but the progress is good.
when a black dude says it, ill take his or her words more seriously but when a middle aged, white man says it- i think stfu!!! there is one black senator (burris who's unelected), unemployment for blacks is much higher than whites, rampant housing discrimination exists, allegations of police brutality are heard daily, 1/3 black men will have a record before they turn 18 and we arent even 50 years removed from jim crow. i remember reading a telling stat in university- infant mortality rates for black kids mirrors that of malaysia's. shame!!! thank god for educated, urban white ppl, young ppl, and latino's for looking beyond skin colour in electing the president.
Looking at that picture I was looking for the telltale signs... old white people, check, flags, check, communism/socialism threat, check... took me a few more seconds to pick out the reference to the chuch ("race mixing is the march of the antichrist"). Good thing we don't see crowds like that anymore.
Yet we should believe the words of an Asian Canadian? You have an interesting lack of self-awareness.
