Beckham has allways battled hes a commited professional who's a role model to any footballer old or young. Whenever critics or/and supporters have put him in a corner he has allways battled back almost saying "critiscise me now, I've scored set up 3 goals got man of the match what have you got to say now". He's never been a player who has gone into the dirty side of football, getting together with random women or breaking speeding laws while drink driving. He's allways been professional in all he does. This is why I feel he deserves to not only be recalled into the England squad but to be put back in the starting 11, the match against Spain shows how much England need someone like Beckham, we got the ball to wide positions with Crouch in the area but no one could cross a dam ball. Isn't it strange that supporters who were calling for Becks to be dropped only a few months ago are now calling for him to be recalled. I don't know or care how others will remember beckham, but I will remember him as a commited, professional, down to earth, role model person who was a great player is a great player and will allways be a great player and I hope him all the best in America next season.
I dont want him to come back into the England team. I think many other people will also agree with me.
Has he died or something? So you're basing your argument for his inclusion in the current England starting 11 on the fact that he's never been done for speeding?? or the fact that he's never got together with ramdon women?! laugh Rebecca Loos anyone?? Also don't forget that Beckham is hardly an angel on the pitch either. He recently got sent off for Real Madrid in what was I think his seventh red card as a pro footballer, including a rather high profile dismissal in the World Cup 1998. So you can't really say that he's never got into the dirty side of football. MacLaren stated that he wasn't including Beckham because he wanted to build a squad for the future and future tournaments, given Beckham's age he would be struggling to make the Euros, almost certainly not the next world cup, he's not Zidane. If Beckham is the be welcomed back to the international side, he should be on merit and form. What MacLaren does, in the end, is his decision and that's what he's paid for. Not agreeing with him is our perogative as fans.
