Is benched? He has played bad, the wide outs have dropped a bunch of passes, but most of it is Russell's fault.

When will he be bench or will he actually start to play good?

One of my favorite things about football season is seeing his statlines.

    lol

    He is absolutely TERRIBLE.

If he wasn't the #1 overall pick, he probably wouldn't even be in the league right now. Even Byron Leftwich is better than him.

In other news, Jeff Garcia was released by the Eagles. I bet Garcia, at age 50, is a better QB than Russell.

Boy, I'm sure Richard Seymour is loving his stay in Oakland. He's probably gonna bolt as soon as possible

Also, it's funny to see how many high draft picks the Raiders have whiffed on. Heyward-Bey was a reach, and hasn't done anything yet. McFadden has been outplayed by 4th rounder Michael Bush. Michael Huff has not come close to living up to expectations. Jamarcus Russell is probably one of the worst 1st overall picks in a long while. Also not mentioning Robert Gallery, and Mike Mitchell, who the Raiders took in the 2nd round and ESPN didn't even have highlights for.

lol I love Al Davis.

    lol

His QB Rating so far this year is a 39.8

He didn't throw a single interception today though, so he should get a cookie!

I'd rather have him or Frye in there than fucking Russell.

I bet I would have better stats than Jamarcus if I played in the NFL.

He is a first grader in a linebacker's body playing the wrong position.

It took Brees like 3-4 years to get it down, for what it is worth. :O

He seemed ok enough last year for a developing QB. Wonder what happened?

Yeah that's probably has something to do with it, Lane seemed to be making progress with Oakland.

Not sure how qualified Cable is, what do you think about him Legacy?

He's got a qualified right cross.

Firing Lane Kiffin was a huge mistake. When is Al Davis going to die?

Lane Kiffin did a great job with the Raiders. Then Al Davis had to step in and mess everything up.

Lane Kiffin sucked ass. Jamarcus best games were at the end of last season when Cable was coaching.

This offseason they hired some QB development coach dude who's been working a lot with Jamarcus all offseason. I think the biggest problem was this guy has been trying to get him to make his footwork perfect but its actually caused Jamarcus to regress. Hes gotten much, much worse this season. He was pretty damn solid the last several games of last season.

He is a fuckin idiot though. Dude can't make reads or hold off safeties. He'll be starting for a long time though.

JaMarcus looked a hell of a lot better with Lane than he does right now.

And yeah, he did look decent last year at the end of the season with Cable.

Oh sorry I wasn't sure exactly. Did Cable run the offense at the end of the year?

I do recall Jamarcus had solid games for a sophomore QB in the beginning and middle of the season though.

I believe Kiffin and Cable were both playcallers on offense.

I'm pretty apathetic toward the whole situation at this point though. The guy is still VERY young. And there are a number of QBs who did really struggle initially in the NFL but eventually went on to do really well. Jamarcus has shown he can play quite well but has since regressed and been, in my estimation, worse than I've ever seen him.

I'm sure it also doesn't help him when his starting WRs are two rookies and his O-Line is somewhat suspect. The running game has been shitty this season. The plan all along was for Jamarcus to let the running game win games and all he has to do is make a play action pass here and there and not turn it over (just like last year). With the running game mightily struggling hes being asked to win games which he is not and never has been able to do. Hes actually produced fantastic clutch drives to take the lead back in a games twice. But hes just not a guy who can win games for you, especially not with a couple sketchy receivers and a mediocre OL missing its best player (Gallery).

Hes been awful and much of it is his fault. Its hard to say flat out that hes a bust and going to be terrible after he has actually strung together several solid games last season. Hes really young and has shit WRs. I'm waiting on Chaz Schilens to come back and hopefully the running game/OL to get going but who knows if that will happen at all this season.
