...a win in Utah would be rather significant at this juncture of the season? The Jazz are 8-3 at home. Plus, it's never been a very friendly place for the Blazers to play. I dunno, it just "feels" like an important game to me. (PS: Yeah, yeah, I know, they're ALL important. )
Any game against a division rival is important IMO. We need to win the season series with all teams. You never know what will happen at the end of the season.

I hear ya. That said, sometimes there are games that I say to myself, "If we could just win this game, it'll put us over the hump towards getting to that next level within our season." I kinda view this one as that type of game. Not certain why, but I just do.
Good reason to. They are in our division, have a 1.5 game lead on us, and have a really good home record. So far we suck on the road. Winning that game should put a spark under our ass. At least I hope so! Lol
I agree, it is a big game. I think the team thinks it's important too, enough to alter their regular road routine and go to Utah early to acclimate and practice on the off day.
I'll keep checking for the nitty gritty. For now, I found this: http://www.clubblazers.com/blazers-discussion/when-did-camelot-crumble-t434.html
All games are equally important. They count the same in the standings even on the last night of the year.
Yes every game is a must win, but games against division rivals and conference playoff contenders are more important IMO. One of those games could take us from 6th to 2nd
Winning the division is meaningless. HCA is determined by who has the best record, not who has the highest seed.
