    I forget, but this time of year brought the potential trade wind news from the World Series, was it "Clubhouse Confidential" or "World Series Confidential". Back in those years, you would buy the daily news for a dime just to read his articles and see who the Yankees might be trading for. There was no free agency, so teams built from within or trades.

    I remember Dick Young. He was a regular writer for the Sporting News, which I read cover to cover for 30 years.
