How good has Sir Alex been in the transfer market? A selection of players bought in millions: Bartez 8 ,Djemba 3, Evra 5, Vidic 7, Carrick 18, Saha 13, Rooney 27, Fedinand 30, RVN 10, Ronaldo 12, Klebberson 6, Veron 28, Heinze 7 Howard 2. Only Ronaldo and RVN would appear to be good buys. The rest overpriced or downright awful. Imagine selling off RVN for 12 mil to help finance Carrick at 18 mil. Then the infamous Beckham affair which was to cost his club millions more in merchandising than the 24 mil Real Madrid paid for him. But the worst was yet to come. Sir Alex foolishly decided to meddle in horse-racing and got into a dispute with shareholders, Magnier and McManus, over the stud rights of a horse named 'Rock Of Gibraltar'. So acrimonious did the dispute become that the two Irishmen began secretly buying up shares. Meanwhile another gentleman in Florida is also furtively buying shares. The rest is history. Former Utd board member and director-general of the BBC, Greg Dyke, has since stated that the Irishmen bought the shares "to teach Alex Ferguson a lesson." Glazer then offered the two an inflated price for the shares and swooped to gain control of the company. Without Ferguson's blunder, it's doubtful if Glazer could have gained control of the club. How ironic that Sir Alex is desperately trying to persuade Glazer to come up with the funds to keep his star player Ronaldo at Old Trafford. In fact The American would love to sell him to help pay off the crippling debt that Ferguson himself helped create. Sir Alex has cost his club hundreds of millions of pounds. Even so, some people always manage to come out smelling of roses and Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson is one of them. The Spanish sometimes when describing a lucky person say "nacido con un flor en el culo" which roughly translated means "born with a flower in your arse." Sir Alex and Lady Luck. The most enduring marriage in world sport. Long may it continue.

Flight is right lol He might make some shoking signings but look at what he has done... And if he was doing such a bad job he would have been sacked long ago... Arsene Wenger might make some decent signings but has he done as much as Ferguson with his "shit" signings?
