<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Martin Johnson of the New York Sun says more than any other game, New Jersey's win Monday exposed the Suns weakness on defense. By posting up a stronger Jason Kidd against Steve Nash, then having him hit Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter with pinpoint passing, the Nets negated the Suns' best defensive tactic: packing the middle with athletic if not very strong or tall players. Johnson says look for other teams, starting with Detroit, to do the same thing. </div>

I think Kurt Thomas not being available is the main reason for that though. KT allows for perimeter players to stick with their men instead of having to double team. The Suns defense is much improved over last year, and once KT and Amare are back in full force they'll be fine.
