What do the yankees have to do to start having the postseason success that there use to having?I think they need to get rid of these high price players and build within and only get players they need for the piece of the puzzle, also they need to get better pichers.
Shouldn't have traded for Abreu, those prospects were valuable. Shouldn't have traded for ARod, Soriano is amazing. Maybe not better, but faster, and probably more clutch.Robinson Cano, the Wang pitcher, and Melky Cabrera are good building blocks for the future.
I don't know if the Angels would do this but if they offer the yankees something along the lines of ervin santana and Chone figgins for Arod I don't see how they can turn that down especially with A-Rod's struggles in newyork.
You need a blend of players, they don't have it. Look at all these teams in the playoffs, they have old veterans, young studs...the Yankee's are all so overpaid and in there 30's...just won't work. They need to keep prospects and get younger. But because it's NY everything they do will be shortminded because they need to win constantly.
Fix the farm system and let your prospects come up through the organization. Young players are needed, they need to stop throwing prospects around. Also, they need to slow down with getting free agents and spend the money more wisely on people who will actually help.

Sheff wont be back and he is great out there in RF. he can bat over 300Traden for arod was great AT THE TIME..... If we didnt trade soriano we wouldnt have a better cano....And he was not clutch also... he had about as many strike outs as AB's In the playoffs. Now that torre is fired.... Which you can thank arod for. Even though torre did somethings that wasnt good in the playoffs... Such as use sheff and matsui... I dont think those guys was ready yet... He should of kept the milk man in LF and phillups or someone else at 1st... Not sheffHe should of put steve carson on the playoff roster.. Not wright. He knew what we was gonna get from wright... If good 5 innings max.Now what we need to do is. Trade A-rod.... Trade him for willis and there 3rd basemen. He can do more then arod.Bring back the moose. Hes a great pitcher. Getting old yes. but still good. Keep carson. Let sheff go. No need for him. GEt a new catcher... Posada is getting old. We need someone just incase he gets hurt.We need a BETTER bullpin... Keep scott practor

Willis is their Ace, and they have a good thing going on with all the youth.

You have to keep Derek Jeter. I suppose abreu would be better for future because sheffield is getting old, but they have no chemsitry really.
