In my part of the world box scores are pretty much the extent of Grizzlies coverage, so for those of you who saw us play, how did you rate our off-season?

Are we looking good for the regular season? Did any particular players impress? Did any particular players disappoint?

With all the other talk in this forum, we haven't really gotten much of a chance to talk about the preseason, so I'm glad you brought it up. I'm surprised we finished #1 in our division, and I hope that's a sign of good things to come. It's hard to make a general conclusion about the Grizzlies based off of preseason play because there were so many of our key players on the injured list and so many of the opponent's best players on the injured list. However, I will say that Cardinal looked out of place (of course, I don't want to bring back that whole other debate), Antonio Burks reminded me of a poorman's wild Jason Williams and will likely be cut, Ryan Humphrey finally got some chance at playing time and absolutely wasted the opportunity, and Shane Battier really impressed me more than ever this preseason. Battier should be a bigger part in our offense this year than ever. Anyway, there's just two more days until we get to play our first game.

How did Hubie use the big men (Lo, Strom and Jake) and how did he use the swingmen (Miller, Posey, Battier etc.)?

Trying to get some lead on the rotation this year. I'm hoping to see Posey and Battier playing together more often than not, and also hoping that Lo gets the majority of minutes in the middle.

To be honest, I don't remember how he used the rotations. They were pretty shot since so many players were injured and because he wanted to give time to Bell, Burks, Emmett, and Jones. Tsakalidas hasn't played many minutes though. I'm pretty sure it'll be fairly similar to last year. The one big improvement I noticed was in Stromile attitude. He's developed a nice work ethic. I think he's going to actually play up to his potential this year.

Do you get any Grizzlies games at all in Australia?
