    For a direct link, use [*youtube*][*/youtube*] without the asterisks.

    If you want to use youtube's embedded code, you have to enable it underneath the attachments option where it says Post Options. There is a drop-down menu that says HTML Off, HTML On - Raw Linebreak Mode, and HTML On - Auto Linebreak Mode. Either "On" option will work.
