Wow, this guy is over confident, i liked his numbers, but he sounds like a big mouth. But maybe he can back it up, we never know. I'm wondering why i never heard of him though.
How tall are the people he plays with? 6'11 and 25 points says nothing but the rebounds are outstanding....but what level of competition is he on?
The level of competition at that certain tournament where he got 25 and 21 is pretty good. That tournament consistently has players that go into division one schools and it has some of the best high school players in the country going at it. Wizk4: Howard is the best high school player in the country, and is a big possibility to go number one in the next NBA Draft. Over confident? Maybe, but that's the type of mindset you need to have in you want to be successful going into the NBA from high school. You have to think that you're going to be successful in order to have a chance at being successful.
I believe Sebastian Telfair is ranked best high schoool player in the country, and i think he faces much more competition, the psal has many future NBA superstars, especially in brooklyn, (where me and Sebastian play). Plus Delaware isn't famous for basketball, brooklyn and NYC has a big reputation. I'm not saying i am right and you are wrong, but i don't think he is number 1, and neither does he face tough competition.
Telfair isn't even the best point guard prospect of his class. Give me Shaun Livingston over Telfair and possibly Darius Washington over Telfair as well (though I do think Telfair outplayed Washington when it counted when they went head to head earlier this year). Howard isn't from Delaware. The tournament is being held in Delaware. Howard is from Georgia. Also, don't just go by school seasons to point to the level of competition because Howard has attended just as many all-star camps as Telfair. Howard was thought by the majority as the best player in this past summers ABCD camp, the same camp Telfair was at. Telfair is only looked at as the number one prospect by people who fall into the hype of Telfair being the next great guard from New York and the hype of him being Stephon Marbury's cousin.
Exactly. Most scouts feel that he's an easy #1 pick in the draft. On the other hand, a lot of people are discouraging Telfair from entering the draft. Not only will he be undersized in the NBA, he has a lot of holes in his game and he won't be picked high. Entering the draft could only hurt him. There's a reason why scouts are so enthusiastic about Howard.
Howard may not be the #1 high-school player in the country but he is one of the top 5 NBA prospects in the country, including the NCAA and Euro leagues.
Telfair is not going pro. Stop comparing him to a 6'11 NBA prospect. You can't compare 6 foot or however tall Sebastian is to 6'11. Sebastian is better and smarter than Derius Washington if you don't believe...watch that game he played on ESPN and look at that wild shoot he tried to take....Sebastian is a point guard not a ball hog....as for Livingston, i've seen nothing on him...i hope to because he "sounds" like he's pretty good
I went there, but it said nothing about him, it wasn't even talking about high school ball. It was about the BCS
I heard about some grade 11 kid from Canada, named Zach Merilees i think, he's averaging almost 25 points per game and 5 three pointers per game.
