Howard will begin serving his suspension when Dallas opens its regular-season schedule at Cleveland on Oct. 31.</p> </p> The Howard-Miller incident occurred with 7:01 remaining in the second period of the Mavs' 101-99 preseason win over the Kings on Tuesday.</p> </p> Howard escalated a situation involving Miller and Mavs guard <font color="#000000">Devin Harris</font> in the second quarter of Tuesday's preseason game.
