<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>oward said that he has noticed the wear and tear that comes with being a team's go-to scorer this season. In his first three seasons in the NBA, Howard was mostly a complementary player on the offensive end of the floor and placed most of his focus on rebounding.

But now that Howard's game has improved and he is the Magic's leading scorer, he feels the weight of being looked to on a nightly basis to carry the offense.

Howard might have caught teams off guard early in the season, easily leading the league in dunks while averaging as many as 23.9 points. But his fast start has been slowed down by constant double teams and teams intent on not giving him easy baskets.

Howard said the transition to becoming the Magic's primary scorer has taken some getting used to, but it's a role he has long sought.

"I feel it every night, but I want it on my shoulders," said Howard, the Eastern Conference's Player of the Month for November and December. "I don't want my teammates feeling pressure, put it on me. I want those guys playing as loose as they can. I know every night people are looking up to me to do great things. A lot of nights whether we lose or win, it depends on what I do."</div>
