Hi guys sorry it is been so long since I have posted. I am finally moved to Louisiana and I'm finally settled in. It seems like it is been a long long couple of months but finally able to catch my breath. Also just in time for my favorite part of the season the trade deadline.

Speaking of the trade deadline for Yankees are making me very nervous. To me they are in obvious cell situation but management seems to be thinking otherwise. I hear there may be a taker for Pineda . If the Marlins want him for god sake trade him.

They should also be looking at trading Chapman and Beltran. I would also look to trade Evo and see what kind of offers you get on McCann and Gardner as well as Miller. If they can get a boatload I would trade Miller in a heartbeat. What is everybody else's feelings on this trade deadline?

Yes on Gardner, Pineda, Beltran, Chapman with Miller being my biggest chip for obvious reasons.

If they want a boatload of good prospects/young players - Yanks can approach a "contender" and offer a ready made TOP bullpen with Chapman & Miller.
Step right up....what are my bids!

Welcome back, Louisiana spent some time there at Fort Polk. After you do some reading and catching you'll find the majority are right with you on sell and improve. If you go to the River Avenue Blues site you'll find that though a Yankee Blog the writers are forthright and honest in their opinions, sell and get better.

I'd like to see Miller stick around, maybe? Depends on what's offered in return.

If I had to pick b/t Miller or Chapman; Miller would always win.

I only hope our GM, has the wherewithal to pull off any trade, that would benefit our Yanx in years to come.

BTW- Jill, what part of Luzianna are you in now? I spent quit a few years as a kid in Bossier City/Shreveport. Spent another few years in Lake Charles in the 90s. Great food, great culture, a shit load of Festivals the year round. Nothing like a Crawfish Boil with a band of Cajuns.

Some great athletes have come out of the Sportsman's Paradise; over the years. From Pistol Pete Maravich, to Our Rajun Cajun, Shaq to Beckman Jr; et al.

Hey Mattingly I actually live in Bossier City. Small world. So far I like it just more expensive than what we are used to.

Incredible Jill, a very small world. In the 60s the SF Giants AAA Club resided in Shreveport. Terry Bradshaw was La-Tech's QB. Hank Williams resided in Bossier City in the 50s. The Luzianna Hayride shows of that time, was a who's who of Hall of Fame Musician's; of which My Dad took me too many Saturday Nights.

Laissez les bon temps rouler ....!!!

    Welcome back
Here's to the State of Pelicans....:smiley-beerchug:

I meant to say: We too were shocked as to the over all cost of living in Luzianna, especially Vehicle Insurance, Insurance of any kind. Electricity was outrageous also!!! Overall it was no cheaper living there than here. Never understood why either.

Vehicle insurance as well as registering a vehicle is insane. Sales tax is 10 percent now in Bossier City. Unreal.

holy cow, 10% and I thought Caly was bad at 8.5%. If you can live in Luzianna, you could live in So. Cal. but I'd warn anyone thinking about it, to head south, not west. In La, at least one got plenty of respect by all. Out here there is no respect. Tho' Shreveport has radically changed, and not for the better, IMO. Still I'd prefer La., over L.A.
