    Mr. Howe fighting for his life. Prayers to him and family. Top 5 of all-time. Think cross between Messier/Lucic with 100 pts per

    Here's an example of.....'More things change, more they stay
    the same.' Vintage 1960 NY Rangers - Detroit Red Wings game
    at the old MSG(1st one), Gordie Howe displayed his hockey
    superiority on the ice and with his fists. He and his mates
    literally skated circles around under-powered Rangers.
    He knocked diminutive center, Camile Henry, all 5'8" of
    gutsy hockey player on his arse. No one ( sound familiar)
    came to Henry's aid. Howe did whatever he wanted to
    score goals. Only D, Lou Fontinato would give Howe
    a run for his money with the fists. Though it was a
    whole different era, Rangers never played the game
    physically. Today, they still do not.

    As for Howe, yes....he was a great hockey player;
    the Rangers, a perennial non playoff team, never really
    had an answer for him or his team. As a Ranger fan,
    it wasn't fun rooting for a losing team.

    did I miss something or did they go to the finals last year, did tampa run roughshot over the rangers for their wins? this thing about fighting is overrated. has nothing to do about having too many smurfs on the team and not that they aren't tough, they are just small.
