The HSBC LPGA Brasil Cup is an international golf exhibition tournament first played in 2009. Sanctioned by the LPGA Tour. The tournament takes place over two days and 36 holes at the Itanhanga Golf Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The money earned does not count on the official LPGA money list, making the event an unofficial part of the LPGA Tour. In 2009 the field included 15 players including 14 LPGA Tour members and a Brazilian amateur. In 2010, the field is scheduled to include 27 players, mostly top Latin American players, not necessarily members of the LPGA Tour. The tournament title sponsor is HSBC, the world's largest banking group, with headquarters in London
