ehh well sure he hasnt been playing great in the preseason but he played great last year for the Chiefs when Green was out. And hes had a decent backup career since hes been in the NFL. Maybe he hasnt earned it this preseason but hes earned it as a vet
Huard is smart enough to know if Croyle was ready or not....perhaps he held back and played it conservatively because he was anticipating that the youngling would have some struggles....

Its like playing chess....I occasionally play with the teenagers in my office....when I do, I sit back and let them come to me....they are wild and impulsive, they think about this move and not the game itself....so you build a restrictive defense, a pawn structure in chess, a conservative attitude when playing QB....make no mistakes, take what the defense offers, and let the youngin' blow his own foot off....over the course of history, a ton of vets have won jobs doing that
