The headline of this thread is a bit misleading. He blames an increasingly godless society for wicked behaviour. When you consider his mindset and where he's coming from, it's a predicable point he's making. There are people literally calling video game developer BioWare "killers" and telling them they "have blood on their hands" as well--people who saw that the shooters brother's Facebook had a "like" for the game Mass Effect. There's people blaming availability of "military-style/combat/assault" weapons and ammunition. There's people blaming the lack of mental healthcare in the USA. Depending on your walk of life, there is an excuse for every angle. Everybody wants to know why these things happen. Highly religious people like Huckster tend to use god whenever there is a gap in knowledge, so plugging him in here is no surprise. "This is what you get for turning your backs on god" is the kind of lunacy we've come to expect from clerics over the last, oh, thousands of years. This Huckabee charlatan tends to oscillate between being a seemingly reasonable and well meaning person to being a zealot depending on the audience. (I'm sure someone will provide us with a comment by an atheist or progressive to try and provide some kind of equivalency.) Literally *every* time there is a disaster or massacre the thumpers roll-out a preemptive attack on society at large, gays, liberals, etc. "Our god gives us free will and what we do with it is our prerogative" they'll say. So, what good is he? "God works in mysterious ways". Not much mystery about child murder. Just once I'd like to hear someone say "god was such a **** this week."
