He isn't a bad player at all. He is amazingly streaky in a good way. When he gets on he is unstoppable. Def a solid back up if you need scoring off the bench. Is contract is what's gonna hurt him. I don't see anyone taking him for like 5-6 mil a year
Maybe Orlando will want him back. I don't think he's a piece of crap or anything, but his contract is a deterrent. I believe the only reason he's still here now is because KG wanted him to stay. I don't believe he's as erratic as a guy by the name of Marko Jaric and when he was given some time on the floor last season, he didn't just live by the jumpshot and did drive more. You can kinda understand why he may have been a little too aggressive due to the fact that he may not play for 20 games following this one (he played 34 games last season). I actually didn't see him playing as "off the wall" when he did play. I'm not as gung-ho about getting rid of him as much as I used to be. He and Marko have the same ppg and Marko played 70 games.
It's going to be tough finding a team willing to trade for Hudson straight up. His contract is the main issue and the TWolves would have to include cash, another player, a draft pick, or take back a bad contract in order to move him. Orlando already has a log jam in the backcourt, so unless they unload some of their guards, I don't see them having interest in Hudson. They also want to have cap space availble for next summer's free agent class. I think Cleveland would benefit a lot by acquiring Hudson. He could be the offensive spark off the bench they're missing and would be able to play shooting guard since LeBron runs the offense. Just look at how well Boobie played in that role during the playoffs. Hudson would give them another option in case Boobie has an off night. Cavs could send back David Wesley & Ira Newble (both expiring contracts) and maybe a 2nd rounder.
