<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The agent for Timberwolves point guard Troy Hudson exchanged contract buyout proposals with team owner Glen Taylor on Tuesday, and Bill Neff said he is hopeful they will reach an agreement.

Hudson has three years and almost $19 million left on his contract and is seeking to cut ties with the team based on his uncertain future. The final year of Hudson's deal is guaranteed only if he reaches a number of performance incentives during the 2008-09 season, including a minimum number of games played. Neff revealed that Hudson must play in at least 65 games in 2008-09 to have a chance to guarantee the final season, based on incentives.

"Clearly he's not getting the sixth year (of the contract) at the rate they used him last year," Neff said of Hudson, who played in 34 games in 2006-07. "There's no reason to think that will change."

Taylor had no comment on the buyout negotiations. </div>
