The Yankees got their 'whale' and in the process, tremendously updgraded their pitching rotation. Think about this...someone as accomplished as Masahiro Tanaka could be their #4 starter assuming Cole, Severino and Paxton in front of him. That is tantelizingly good! The Yankees also completed the least surprising move possible by re-siging Bret Garner to a 2-year deal with the 2nd year being a club option. He bring back a much needed left-handed bat, clubhouse leadership especially with CC gone, and still a tremendous defensive anchor. Good so far. But it doesn't feel like the Yankees are done. Betances is likely gone and NY is not so quietly shopping Happ. Add to that the permanent on the fringe of being called up, uber talented Clint Frazier and it feels like there are some moves yet to be made. I'd include Chance Adams as someone on the 40-man roster who might not be in Pinstripes next season as well. So what do they go get? Another reliever (lefty) wouldn't surprise me at all as well as another bat (preferably another lefty) to balance out their batting lineup. Any preferences? It just feels like after the first decade in forever that the Yankees didn't at least go to the World Series, Hal Steinbrenner is all in for #28.
