Expanding on his call for Donald Trump to drop out of the presidential race, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt said if Trump tries to attack Hillary Clinton with her husband’s past affairs, then tonight’s debate and the next 29 days will be a calamity for the entire Republican Party. “If he goes on attack on the behalf of the party on issues of substance in this campaign, he could exit with grace at the end,” Hewitt told MSNBCS’s Hallie Jackson. “But if he doesn’t, if he engages in relitigating the ’80s and ’90s, it will be a disaster for the party.” After video leaked Friday of Trump lewdly depicting a sexually aggressive nature towards women, Republicans have slammed their nominee with many streaming towards the exits and explicitly calling on their nominee to withdraw.
