<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The NBA announced Wednesday that Pistons' point guard Lindsey Hunter has been suspended without pay for 10 games for testing positive for phentermine, a weight loss pill banned by the league. Hunter scored 20 points, matching his total as a Pistons rookie in Golden State's 1993 win at the Palace, in Detroit's 111-93 loss to the Warriors Monday night. Hunter's suspension will begin with Wednesday night's game between the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2791107Not really the kind of player you think would be suspended for a banned substance. He says that he had a cold recently and must of mistakenly taken one of his wife's pills. Dont know how true that is, but thats what he says. He also says it was a stupid mistake on his part.
Hunter is the last player I expected to get suspended for testing positive for any substance. He is like one of the nicest players ever to play in the NBA. I guess Blalock will get called back up from the NBDL and Flip Murray will see more minutes as Chauncey's back up. Hunter has been playing well off the bench and there is no way Murray or Blalock is the same on the ball defender as Lindsey is. Kind of sucks now that the Pistons didn't trade for a point guard huh? HoLLa baCk
Like everybody else has said, I definitely wouldn't expect a guy like Lindsey Hunter to be a guy to get in trouble for something like this. I mean this isn't a serious issue, I don't think he's a druggie. He's no Chris Andersen, I don't think this is anything big.
