Jason Karmanos, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with center Nick Dodge on a one-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay Dodge $500,000 at the NHL level and $55,000 at the minor-league level in 2010-11, with a guarantee of $75,000. Dodge, 24, completed his second season of professional hockey in 2009-10, playing in all 80 regular-season games with the Hurricanes’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Albany River Rats. The Oakville, Ont., native scored 16 goals, earned 20 assists (36 points) and led all Albany skaters with a plus-18 plus/minus rating.
