<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Steve Hutchinson - G - Seahawks The Vikings have signed G Steve Hutchinson to an offer sheet worth $49 million over seven years, including $16 million in guaranteed money. [IMG] The deal has a huge cap number in the first year, which will discourage the Seahawks from matching it. They have seven days to do so. Seattle has to be regretting not placing the franchise tag on him in order to get draft pick compensation. This is the biggest contract for an interior lineman in league history by far. I don't think he's worth the money... he's great and all... but not good enough to be the owner of the biggest contract of all interior linemen. And the Vikings don't need an offensive lineman that desperately.

He's the best guard in the game and all....but 7 million a year and 16 million guaranteed for him is just insane. Then again, the Vikings do have plenty of money to spend since theyre so far under the cap.

When you look at your offensive linemen with no injuries, I don't think it's anywhere near "atrocious". And I didn't say they didn't need an offensive lineman, just that they shouldn't be so desperate as to make a player the highest paid of his position (EVER).

Their paying all these NFL backups good money for them to start. Leber and Taylor would be getting paid a lot for something they haven't accomplsied with another team yet.Wilf is an idiot.

I didn't like the Chester signing, he is overrated a little bit IMO. They have a legit need for Hutch though, and if you want to win..sometimes you just gotta overpay to get what you need, and they did that.

Whats with the hating of Taylor? Watch him prove ya'll wrong. He's gonna be good but yes I would have liked Laurance but theres no way Williams would be around and we want to get a LB in the draft.
