Does anyone this line-up could compete for a title? Seems like a solid group of veterans with some youth mixed in that could be very very very competitive if they all gelled.

    PG - Devin Harris
    SG - Mike Miller
    SF - Richard Jefferson
    PF - Jermaine O'neal
    C - Nenad Krstic

Bench - Jamaal Tinsley, Trenton Hassell, Maurice Ager, Josh Boone, Sean Williams, Stromile Swift, Dasagana Diop

I think we'd have to add a shooter off the bench to this bunch to complete them.

    agilic, welcome to S2!

In the East, as constructed, bearing health, and a better backup then Tinsley, I think they could get through the East.

That team would have a better chance with Carter instead of O'Neal and Tinsley.

On paper and if JO is 100% then yes we can, but i have to reserve judgment to see how the pieces would mesh together (team chemistry)

you cant just throw a bunch of players together and expect them to mesh (look at the knicks!)

any lineup with contracts no longer than 2009-10 would work for me...

Jermaine makes 20 mil per year Carter makes 13.5...that's a big differnce...
    1) Nenad would have to be included in any trade as would Marcus...
Basically to get O'neal you send Carter, Marcus and Nenad...
To get Tinsley as a backup we'd need to do a second deal with Indiana were they would receive Stromile Swift for Tinsley.

That means the lineup would look like this...

    PG: Devin Harris, Jamal Tinsley
    SG: Mike Miller, Maurice Ager
    SF: Richard Jefferson, Trenton Hassell
    PF: Josh Boone, Sean Williams
    C: Jermaine O'neal, Desagna Diop.

I don't really like it...Jermaine and Jamal aren't worth Vince, Marcus, Nenad and Stromile...

O'Neal of 2-3 years ago, but no. Keep Boone with Krstic, Williams, Swift to back up. Who knows without Kidd, Magloire may see some time to bang people around.

Can we get off JO's ball sack? He is not that good and we would have to sacrifice a lot due to the contracts.

JO sucks, and I'm impartial to trading him. On one hand, he sucks, and wouldn't improve our team. Plus, there's a higher chance that our team would actually get much, much worse.

On the other hand, a shorter contract. Could be worth it...but who knows.

I love the Mike Miller trade...
I think its gonna be a deadline day deal though...
There cool with Boki, DA and Mags
but we're in a staring contest over the first...
we want to send the Dallas pick...they want our first.
