Yes. All of this, yes. I hate this situation so much. It is encouraging to see moderates seeing how little we are being served by our government.
The irony of this is, the media and DNC kept hiding/gaslighting the public against Biden's mental impairment. If they hadn't done that, perhaps he wouldn't have been so easily re-nominated. Now it's too late.
I can't think of a better explanation as to why they'd give him the job. TV execs sitting around the table saying, "we need to have a person of color..." you know damn well that's what happened.
I'm not a fan of him either, but Trevor had to filter being a South African comedian through I guess an American left leaning centrist perspective. That isn't an easy job and if you watch any performance he has outside of America, you'll "get it" and see why calling him a diversity hire isn't really fair.
You’re just mad because you two were on the opposite sides of apartheid in the 80s and now he’s rich and you’re not.
You said that much nicer than I was getting ready to post, lol. Overseeing and hosting a daily comedy show is no easy job. Trevor did that in South Africa before coming to the US. He ground it out on the TV comedy scene before landing on The Daily Show. He was then PROMOTED to host after Stewart left. He put the work in and got the job.
We're not talking about managing a Taco Bell. He's job is to be amusing/entertaining and he wasn't. https://www.salon.com/2015/11/24/tr...ainwreck_i_know_because_i_watch_for_a_living/
That's how we got you. The mods were like, you know, we need to keep one racist on here to boost traffic. And here you are spewing your toxic garbage. Illinformed...
I knew people were going to come in and call him an impoverished racist Rhodesian troglodyte anyway. Trevor had a traceable career path that made him an appropriate choice for the gig, even if his run didn't change my life or anything.
