Omg I gotta tell you a story. I was on a business trip to Asia about 5 years ago. My attorney asked if I could pick up macallen 30 for him at the duty free if they had it. He said he would pay for it when I got back. I told him don't worry about it. Anyway I found it and it was in Taiwan currency. I wasn't very familiar with the conversion; so I just put it on my card. When I got the bill and it was converted; it was $500!!!! Wtf?!
$500 would be a heckuva deal today. I splurged on 21 once (when I got hired at Amazon). I actually didn't like it as much as the 18, for double the price. But many of the others at the party weren't big scotch drinkers, and the ones who were were Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie drinkers, so it kinda blew their socks off.

LOL when I was first starting to drink my buddy was like, "Never drink gin. it tastes like they took a vat of blank alcohol and dumped a christmas tree in." that's why I like it honestly. it's like,refreshing.
I tried a vodka tonic with a lime twist the other day, surprisingly good. I usually just stick with Crown and coke, makers and coke, or a jack and coke but I've been looking for an alternative, lighter tasting drink. And magnifier661, I've been here lurking more than anything. Its kind of hard getting excited to come to a basketball board when the hyped up Lakers look more like the Bobcats. Soak it up because we'll be back!!!! One day!!!
I was a BIG 7&7 drinker in the past and still love it but have been trying different whiskeys. I'll take pretty much any whiskey other than Jack. Have been enjoying some good scotches lately too. Don't mind vodka if I'm mixing or good tequilla if it's shots. I had the Walker Blue label and wasn't that impressed. Thought the Green was just as good if not better and it didn't come close to a good single malt.

If I want to spoil myself, Crown Royal XR straight. Best whiskey I ever drank. (Don't like scotch.) My 'usual' is Crown Royal Black and coke. If I want to party, Herredura Anejo is tits. Go Blazers
