Today was my doctor day before I go off to college, so to speak. I went to the dentist early (all is good, expect one of my wisdom teeth is coming through. might need to have it taken out). Then I did some shopping for my dorm (realized I needed a clock radio). Then I went to my eye doctor, and for the first time in the past 6 or 7 years, my vision had not decreased. Ever since I was in 6th or 7th grade, my vision would gradually get worse each year (I'm at a "-6.5" now for those who care. yes, I'm essentially blind without my contacts/glasses). So that was good news. But, bad news was I needed to get my eyes dilated on this check-up. And now I can't see a thing. And worse than that was this lady in the eye doctor's waiting room who kept talking about colonoscopies (". . . and the stick they shove up your rectum is thiiiiiiis long . . . " those were her exact words). Awesome.
When you were younger, you shulda listend to your dad and stoped playing with yourself. Thats the reason your eyesight is bad.
I have had one. It's not as bad as you think. It's actually cool when they're done because they put you in a farting room with other colonoscopy patients. The inject your asshole with air during the procedure, so when it's all over you fart constantly for like 20 minutes. When I was there, there was like 4 or 5 people with me in the farting room, and it was so hilarious.
That sucks JCB, it's impressive you could type all of that blind. As far as colonoscopies are concerned, I'm scared, even thought the farting room sounds funny as hell.
I don't want to go there! I want to be in the car with my friends!! Why miss out on such a golden opportunity?
I'm -4.75 and I thought I had it bad. On another note, I don't think I've ever respected JCB more until now. The man is blind, and managed to write a multi-paragraph entry with (at a quick glance) no egregious spelling or grammar mistakes, and there are some people who can't squeeze out a one-sentence post in a distinguishable language that have both eyes.
So JCB are you saying that you can see with glasses?contacts? How well can you see with them on? Considering the -6.5 vision, does that effect your vision even when you have glasses on? Im just curious as i dont wear glasses and i want to know what it's like, the difference that is. But its good that your vision hasnt decreased, good news i suppose. Also what does it mean when you get your eyes dilated?
That sucks I hate getting dilated, one time I couldn't see right for 2 days. I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out today in the hospital (anistisha and everything) and it sucks. This is the first time I've been able to get on the computer, I've been sleeping all day.
I see perfectly fine with my glasses or my contacts. Without them though, everything is very, very blurry. I wouldn't be able to function without my glasses because I'm so nearsighted. So for example, this is what I see like with my glasses on. It's the same as any person's normal sight. But this is what I see without my glasses. My nearsightedness causes distant objects to just appear as blurs. And a "distant object" for me is anything further than a half foot from my face. That's how nearsighted I am. And the eye dilation is actually why I made this thread. It's when the doctor puts drops in your eyes so your pupil becomes dilated. It's done so the doc can see the innards of your eye to make sure all is well on the inside. The problem with the dilation is that your pupil remains gigantic for several hours. And it's difficult to see on a sunny day when your pupil cannot adjust to the light. The light is ridiculously blinding and it's nearly impossible to see anything. Hence the title of the thread, "I can't see." I'm pretty much all better now though.
That blurry picture of Lebron actually looks good compared to how I am. If I took my contacts out I would see one white blur, with some brown in it.
Feel bad for you guys. The few times I've been to the doctor, they said my eyesight was almost perfect, never needed glasses or contacts. I can also see pretty far. I have perfect eyes to be a pilot. lol
