I dont know what you guys have been watching...against denver he took the ball coast to coast in 5 seconds to beat the buzzer... the same game he jab stepped and quickly drove to the hole around his defender and layed it up over two defenders. last night same move from the elbow and elevated much higher then i have seen him elevate this year and layed it in with his right hand (trust me it happened, i was sitting in the 4th row). he has never been a good defenesive player so i dont really blame him for that. but to be honest i dont see how you guys are already calling for him to retire or blaming the recent struggles on him. hes never been a player to come in and fire shots up and rack up points. what im tryin to say is dont fault his lack of scoring on his knees because hes getting open shots hes just a little rusty with his jumper. I think it looks like he has confidence in pushing off his right leg again and finishing with his left. hes never int he game long enough to get into a rythm which is a problem in itself...but not cuz of his knees. he didnt hobble/wince once last night i watched him the whole game.

There are degrees between "love" and "hate". Just because people are in the middle, doesn't mean they hate.

People are frustrated and looking to blame someone. Personally, I like all our players.

i dont mean hate literally.... i meant "hate" as in people negatively critiquing his game when he really isnt playing badly and clearly time off has helped his explosiveness. he skied for a forced alley oop pass from camby as well (also right infront of me so dont tell me that didnt happen)

I don't hate him. I just hate what happens to the ball movement when he's in the game and how we ignore the post.

BRoy is a great player on a team that is built for a half court game! This team is not, he'd be a good role player "now" on a team like the Lakers, Celtics, Spurs or Jazz but OUR team is built to get out and run! He can't, and thus is putting the emergency break on this team and its new found chemistry.

I'd further say that even if this team was built for a half court game McMuffin wouldn't know how to coach it! Standing next to great coaches "COACH K" doesn't mean you are one! McMuffin has been given an undeserved nod, if further proof is needed look at the last two games and see how his amazing defensive mind has been showcased!

Best thing that could happen for this team is Roy to retire or bought out and Nate to head to LA as rumors have said! Kills two birds with one stone!

k usually that would be true NIK but roy fed the post numerous times. he also cleared to the other side numerous times for LA to get the ball last night. problem with last nights ball movement was that we force fed the post, LMA let the double team effect him last night on one of his worst games of the season, we swing the ball for a three and miss most of the time. that sounds like not knowing what to do with the guys that are on the floor cough nate cough

Camby, Wallace and Miller will never be blamed by the majority, because they came in after Roy. LMA may regress, but that will be blamed on Brandon. Matthews is an extremely inconsistent player, but that seems to be OK now for the starting SG. Batum gets heat, but he's still young, and he's not really featured in the offense. Oden is an afterthought who will never be blamed because he's such an unlucky guy.

Nate and Roy are the scapegoats now that Outlaw and Blake are gone. Nevermind that the team is considerably worse than the Roy/LMA/Outlaw days; if Roy is waived, surely this is a 60-win team, because all of those guys will be gone.

It's not hate it just what I see. If you do not agree that the team has looked the last 2 games as it did before he went out, which was when it was losing to Philadelphia and New Jersey on the road, that's cool, we disagree. It's not all on him either. Why are other members of the team standing around and watching again? Why has Lamarcus stopped getting deep post up position the last few games? The reason is because they are playing with Roy like he is the old Brandon Roy when he is not. When they get over that and move on, and play with him like he is a role player, then they will move forward.

hahaha the guy is played less then 20 minutes a game...whats goin on when hes not int he game? LMA looks tired and i think chuck hayes really bothered him last night. hayes has treetrunks for legs and lma couldnt back him down. thats not roys fault...especially when hes sitting on the bench for more then half the game

    PapaG-

Name the offense we run? Have you seen a easier defense to navigate through? If so what teams? After 2,3,4,5 years...... when does either of these two sides of the court under McMuffin plan to magically blossom? Just curious want to make sure I get court side tickets for it!!

A scapegoat can also be earned! When has Nate ever shown that his coaching is the direct cause of the success of this team rather than the raw talent of his players? All I can say is Nate is known as the Searg.! Why? I have know idea because there is nothing tough about this team or the way he's coached it for years! I'm sick of watching a high school defense show up nightly under his watch, i don't think I'm alone!

As for Roy he wants to play, but in his heart I know he realizes he's not that player anymore! This is a case where a big ego is getting in the way of a bigger picture. No one can argue when he's in there, no defense is played on his part and the ball movement ends, and when his shot is off it gets down right ugly out there! How does that help the overall team develop or our new go to guy LA improve?

Now ya tie that back into Nate playcating Roy and simple logic says these two parts are messing up the overall equation!

Not that I hate Camby, but

The team was 11-4 when he was injured
    0-2 since he has returned

    20-19

The team is better when Camby and Roy don't play. Neither should play the rest of the season.

    Right?

Team is 0-2 with Gerald Wallace. Bad trade. That's an 0-82 pace.

Square peg/round hole. Ultimate success will not come to this team while he remains.

This has been my observation for 3 years now. Before he became a grossly overpaid, limited-minutes, 1 injury away from retirement guy who still kills the pace and player/ball movement every time he steps on the court.

If basketball was a solo sport he'd be a contender, but it's a team sport and this team just clicks better when he's not around.

If I were coach, with my job depending on winning, I'd certainly consider that possibility.

I had great seats at the Atlanta game and our smalls played their usual excellent D all night. Our bigs were leadfooted and got outhustled/outpositioned at both ends.

Didn't seem like the coach was the one(s) not doing his job.
