Really? Is there ONE thread about the Airplane bombing attempt? I know Detroit is America's Ghetto but its still America.
here is my favourite detroit story- i was about 12 or 13 and it was my first time in detroit. i know it was a tough part of the country but i didnt understand what that really meant coming from a sanitized place like canada. nevertheless, my father is lost and we're in the hood- my father is totally naive to the gangbangers that run these parts but my mom and i kinda did the math and figured we didnt stand a chance in this particular neighbourhood. although, that doesnt stop my dad from stopping the rental car in spite of our protestations and asking a bunch of drug dealers on the corner in the middle of the night for directions. but my dad was right and we were wrong because one of the dudes on the corner was nice enough to get in his own vehicle and take us to our desired destination because he was heading in the same way. i made subsequent visits as a kid and all of them were on a bus because we owned a shitty car (an ancient honda accord). on one occasion- i can vividly remember a large lady (biggest loser big before the transformation) beat a man senseless. the funniest part of it was that a crowd of 100 or so ppl gathered around the altercation cheering her on and none of them tried to stop the drubbing.
