I feel confident stating this team isn't going anywhere.

They just can't ever seem to find the right mix. That has to fall on Sather right now. Drafting has been OK but his FA signings as far as role guys have blown.

Sather is awful, we all know it, but I am going to sort of defend MDZ here. It is a JOKE, and yes that is the word, to scratch him game after game. Either play him or deal him. Scratching him only hurts our trade leverage. It is VERY stupid, and tells you all you need to know about how the Rangers operate, that they scratch him game after game.

    Comical really.

Lundqvist has to do a better job on that goal. Two guys that need to step up are RC and John Moore, they need to give them more offensively. Would've been nice to squeak a point out of that.

Chuck, AV was asked about MDZ and he said he was looking to get in more size and toughness into the lineup.....so he put in. . . Falk. . .

doesnt matter, it was only a matter of time before they scored. The team had 11 shots total in the 2nd and 3rd periods

They need some forwards with size. Nash is a soft big man. A guy like Jagr played and plays much tougher.

Strud, MDZ has been scratched 5 times in 8 games dude, not one random game against the larger Bruins. Stop dude. It is assinine to scratch him that much. Play him or deal him. Period.

And just for tabs I think that's bad Girardi deflection #2 on the year.

Thought Falk played really well today. Makes me want McIlrath out there even more. To me, the role players for the Bruins just have more speed, grit and want to win more. D. Moore, Boyle, Pyatt and Pouliot just don't have a lot of drive to win most games. That is 1/3 our forwards.

Falk played well today, I agree. That isn't the point though IMO. Even I, as a guy who doesn't love MDZ, thinks it is very stupid to simply scratch him game after game. Get off your lazy USELESS A** already Sather and deal the kid for some scoring. Enough already.

That's the problem, GM's have Sather in a tough spot now since they know we want to unload him badly.

I was respondng to Ranger i just forgot to quote it.

Yea i agree, deal MDZ if you arent going to play him. It's stupid AV doesnt like him because I thought he played well under Torts and this was the right system for him.

I disagree sc. The kid has value. Enough already. Take a good deal for some scoring, call McIlrath up, and let's go.

Is McIlrath completely ready yet, or is a guy like Allen ahead of him in terms of the rest of this year?

Who cares. The answer is whomever it is, call them up and deal MDZ for a scorer. Done. This is not rocket science. Scratching MDZ game after game is flat out stupid.

Guys, unfortunately right now the way hes playing and scratching del z no gm is giving more than a bag of balls for him. Either needs to play here or go to st and play and build back some value first. No reason not to bring big mac up sooner than later and also kristo and lindberg should both be here. Going by how their playing our top 6 forwards should be nash, kreider, stepan, zucc, brassard and if hes brought up kristo. Guys like cally and hags and the rest should be third liners. Still don't know why av is not playing kreider on the first pp or the pk with his speed and defensive capabilities. I'm starting to wonder when girardi is on the ice if hank is more worried about opposition or girardi scoring on him :MARIS61: And by the way hank has to stop that last goal from afar straight on with no screen

The problem also is alot of teams aren't quite ready to start selling off, so you're dealing with maybe 4-5 teams at most. And it isn't a pointless ??, if the guy's not ready and will be exposed then you can't do it, so which other guy is ready?

Play him or deal him. That is all. Scratching him game after game is moronic.

I agree about McIrath being called up thought he should have been up from the beginning like Kreider, use a 7 man rotation on defense, need to see what you have with him. I don't know what McD, Staal and Girardi will have left in the tank with the minutes AV plays them come postseason. There seems to be more to the MDZ benching thing than AV lets on, if AV really said he was looking for more size on the ice then Stralman should be scratched, the Hobbit plays a more physical game than Anton. Seems like certain guys can't play their way out of the lineup regard of their incompentance (D. Moore, Pyatt, Pouliot, Stralman) while others get no rope (Miller, MDZ).
