i usually dont express confidence here, and dont get caught up in all the hype around the city, but i did this time., i like to keep it real and tell what i see. i made stupid posts about why carilina will lose, and why the eagles are the best, and the cover jinx crap wouldnt effect us.

i guess the only positive that came from this is i was right in my prediction. id rather be wrong, but im right, and im sad to be right this time.

SF or ZM whoever didnt believe me, ill send ya a monkey soon.

A few years back, I was dead certain that Miami would win it all. Boy did I feel stupid.

The one thing I have learned is the more passionate I get about Miami, the bigger let down I am in for.

Of course, Being skeptical (if not down right pessimistic) has not worked out well either.

You're not a moron, you're a believer....I am one of those myself....I started watching the Dolphins in 1984....My family has been Dolphin fans since they were created in 1966....every year, I am confident they are going all the way, and not once in that time, have they even made the Super Bowl(except 1984, they 1st year I payed attention to them, at the tender age of 7)....I know it seems like it all sucks right now, and 10 years from now, you will look back and see the oppurtunites lost, and that will suck too, but just keep waking up....it will get better...just think, Pitchers and Catchers report in less than a month and the Phillies are looking good, just like my Cubbies, and then the free agencies starts in March and the draft is in April, Minicamps in June, training camps in July, and preseason games in august, so before you know it, a new season with new oppurtunties will be here....Consider also, that this kind of disappointment builds charachter, when you suffer with something for so long, it just makes it sweeter when you finally see the success you have been chasing....to tell you the truth, McNabbs early career reminds me of Elway, he had some major disappointments early, and it looked like he may never get that championship, but he got there, and McNabb likely will too...

Ummm...remember '98? Yeah, the whole Twin Cities were predicting a Super Bowl until Atlanta happened.

Its football. Its impossible to predict.

Alot of people dont realize beef, that the miami
dolphins passed up the raiders for alltime winningest
franchise. Try being a bucs fan 27 years of frustration
finally came to an end with a championship.

Dawk, beef, when both your teams win a superbowl
again or for philly there first one. It will be that
much sweeter. I think deep down we all strive to see
our team win a championship cause we all know
how hard it is to win one.

The Cubs? Beef, you disappoint me. Braves rule.

I first became a phins fan at after the classic game w/ the Chargers back in 80 or 81. About this time, I remember going to a neighbors as they just got cable and watching some kid named Marino play for the University of Pittsburgh. I have been a fan of Marino since. When he was drafted by Miami that sealed the deal. For my most of my previous 11 years, I was a Broncos fan. I admit to being young, naive, & impressionable. Living in the Mountain West who else was I gonna root for?

Dawk, I think what beef is trying to say is hope springs eternal. Don't give up hope. It could be worse you could be a Cardinals fan.

My first season as a Dolfan was 75. The best game was a 43-0 whuppin the Dolphins put on the Jets in New York. Back then, Dolfans marked two wins on the Bills games when the schedules came out. Beat the Bills 20 straight times!!! Bob Griese to Nat Moore! Those were the days.

Those two guys always bring a smile to my face. Back in the day of collecting football cards, Nat Moore was the "gimme" card for one year. I must have had 25 copies of his card that year. Bob Griese's non-action card were hilarious. In the days of Mean Joe Greene and all the other rough looking players, Griese always looked like an accountant or something. Always made me laugh...even as a kid.

When Joe Montana's "rookie card" came out it was a common card too. At one time, I must have had 5 of them. I pulled them all out of packs. Of course, back then, there was only one card company and Joe's rookie wasn't a true rookie. He never played as a rookie so they didn't make a card of him that year.

I got the Topps '85 set for Christmas....I still have most of them and there were some good ones, Rookies like Jerry Rice, Bruce Smith, Steve Young, Reggie White, Andre Reed....I have the high priced ones in glass cases, and the rest of the set in a binder....no clue what they would be worth in money, but im sure its not as much as they are worth to me...
