So thought I'd share this story to see if anyone else has some MMA related tidbits to share. So as you can see by my sig, I'm a fan of the Headhunter Paul Buentello. I enjoyed his fights and when I got a myspace account, I got it to meet and chat with MMA fans and fighters. A lot of MMA fighters have myspace accounts, most of them get someone to help out with the site but they do visit, post and reply to those accounts. Paul had a myspace page and I have him listed as a friend. He also has a website and I went there and signed up on the forums. Paul would regularly visit there and reply to questions etc. Of course Paul is not a big time MMA talent so there wasn't many people posting so he answered your questions quite regularly. One night, I'm on there, another regular is on there and some idiot shows up and starts posting trash about Paul and how he lost to AA etc. So I start to ridicule the guy and the other regular does too. Paul happens to be on as well and joins in on the fun. Paul says "you guys are pretty kool, PM your mailing address and I'll send you a shirt." So I PM him my info but tell him not to worry as I live so far away (Ottawa Canada) and the cost of sending it would be too much. He replies that it's no problem and 2 and half weeks later I get a package from Cali and it's the shirt. Since then Paul's been on of my fav fighters and always will be.
