I though that he would do good today. He really proved me wrong. He lost the game for the Steelers, they would have been better off with Charlie Batch.

I don't know much about Charlie Batch but I think you're wrong about that. Charlie was supposed to do wonders in Detroit but ended up being a total bust. At least Maddox has been with this team for a long time, knows the system well and was known to be good in the past. They lost cuz Roethlisberger, the leader is gone

Now I agree that no Roethlisberger is the reason they lost. They also didn't have Ward and he's a huge leader too. When I posted that message I was just really frustrated.

That was Pitt's game. Tommy was too rusty.

They also went away from running the ball with Bettis which was very stupid. Bettis 4 attempts for 4 yards.

Uhhh Bettis can't do the whole outside run deal, he's gotta run down the middle between the tackles, Parker can take off on the outside.Did I mention that running down the middle vs. that HUGE JAX D-Line is NOT HAPPENING?No. Well now you know.

Yep, Maddox blew it. If Big Ben was playing, he wouldnt throw 3 ints, or that fumble because he'd play way different than Maddox. Cant believe he costs us the game. How the hell could you not see Mathis not coming? You gotta think better than that. It is only 1 lost so im not all upset because we will bounce back. Hopefully Big Ben will be 100% next week.

Jacksonville is like #29th in Run D. Their secondary is beast though.

They can't stop the outside runInside run = no problem for them though, they easily swallow up on that.

Bettis shouldn't only get the ball 4 times and he doesn't just run inside. If you've actually watched any of his games he may not run all the way to the outside but he doesn't run it straight up the middle every single time. He goes a little bit to the outside b/c he does have quick feet which is a great aspect for a big RB to have.

They should keep feeding it to Parker until Staley is back and then split carries and only use Bettis for short distance rushes.

Batch wouldn't do good at all. He's actually terrible. You see his numbers in Detroit? I could've done better. Maddox actually was successful in Pittsburgh when he played. He put up a winning record. So before you go dissing Maddox, get your facts straight.Oh, and also, Maddox hasn't started a regular season game in quite awhile. Roethlisberger has been starting since the beginning of last season.
