I've had a herniated disc, like JJ Redick, for 7 months, and a facet joint problem too. I missed my 2nd semester of college and pre-medical track because of it. I am scheduled to resume my studies in August. If this procedure works then I will be able to go back, I have a deliberately easier schedule though because of the physical therapy and the like I'll have. I am pretty scared, I'll admit. I should be fine though. tomorrow @ 3pm is when it's scheduled, but doctor's are never on time for the love of god

Good luck man. Doctors do stuff like this everyday and you'll be fine. It's scary at first but once it's over you will be so happy that the problem is fixed, trust me.

But it's all good-- I probably won't even be put under, I'll probably just be under the influence of a benzo so they can talk to me, and my nerves will be calm.
