I didnt love it, did not hate it. I would say I didn't like it. Disappointed though. It really dragged
The first scene with Thanos was a fucking joke. I thought he was going to use the reality stone. Thats how cartoonishly bad it was. Then it dragged for most of the movie. The big fight was nice. Captain Marvel was lame. That haircut she got halfway through the movie, wtf was that. Professir hulk sucked. Ronin was cool. Thor was trash. Thanos sucked too. I thought the captain america and ironman storylines tied up nicely. Don't know about Falcon being captain america, he isnt enhanced. Theatre was pretty quiet the whole movie. They didn't even use the stones powers individually.
So...is this true? Spoiler ? I personally don't care, since I kind of feel it's gonna be the Last Jedi of the series.
So my opinion was that the movie just didn't have the same drive that the first part did. As Eric said, it dragged a lot. Didn't like what they did to Thor or Hulk. I didn't hate Captain Marvel's movie, but she was pretty shitty in this one. Very unlikable. Didn't have the same vibe as the other characters. Nothing really redeeming about her. The other female characters were soooooo much better. There was one scene that was..... lame. One scene specifically. Took me right out of the movie because it was so forced. And it really wasn't necessary.
Nah, I don't have seething rage for this movie. It was just disappointing. Maybe I had high expectations, but it didn't ruin the MCU like TLJ ruined Star Wars for me.
That's good. not that Im a big marvel fan (I can take or leave it). But RJ definitely soured me on Star Wars big time.
Here are my gripes. My main gripe is the lack of action and fighting in the movie except for the end. I thought the movie paced really unevenly too. How they killed Thanos at the beginning of the movie was horrible. Really weak shit and unfulfilling. I really thought it was Thanos going to use the Reality stone. Captain Marvel was a total waste and unlikable. No reason on how she found Stark, it was very anti-climatic. No one reacted when Captain Marvel's face appeared in space, it honestly looked like a joke, not unlike Leia's Mary Poppins moment. She was very wack int he movie, almost an afterthought. It was hard to feel the effect of the snap. They didn't do a good job of selling the worldwide impact of what happened, other than when Antman saw that wall of those that disappeared. I did not enjoy the "Time Heist". It was poorly done for the most part. You didn't get a good connection to the original timelines when it happened. There were some funny party (Heil Hydra, the Captain Americas fighting, etc) They should have spent more time with this and less time with the other parts of the first act of the movie. Professor Hulk looked like a joke. They should have had a different way to merge him since he didn't come out in Infinity War (never explained the reason why) Thor turning into a fat, drunk alcoholic was pretty weak. I don't even care about that scene with his mother, I was low key hoping it was Thanos/Loki and was gonna kill him. I didn't like they killed the Thanos who snapped, then fought the Thanos who didn't snap. Having Thanos destroy the stones was kind of weak imo. I didn't really need that flash back to Howard Stark and Peggy Carter. Seemed like wasted time imo. They should have spent more time showing Stark making the Stark Gauntlet. Bringing Gamora back was weak sauce. You can't save those that are killed from the Soul Stone. There wasn't much action until the end. Infinity War had non-stop action, this was a lot reflecting and non-action. I enjoyed: Hawkeye's arc + Black widow with the soul Stone. Very moving part. Final battle was sweet. Wish it was way longer. The females getting together was kind of cringe-worthy. The end battle/result with Iron Man taking the stones and snapping. Very cool. Captain America turning old by going back in time.
I don't know.....I loved it. The theatre was rocking too. My favorite part, without spoiling it, was...........Lebowski
