Agreed. Not surprised he's out saying the right things, he's a media savy ballplayer.

Tex is a a solid citizen -a real good "joe" who LOVES being a Yankee and is not afraid to say what HE needs to do to help his club.

I like him alot. If's he's healthy, the Yanks will have a solid productive player who they can pencil in without any problems or worries.

...yup, and with the exception of 2B, the Yanx are better than last year at every position, yet they are getting no love from "the experts".

Seems to me, when it comes to the Yankees, most of the "experts" prefer to emphasize possible negatives/questionmarks instead of being even handed and fair regarding the Yanks as compared to the COMPETITION.

Example - The Redsox. They have "question marks".
Is Johnny Gomes, Mike Napoli, Victorino, 3b, and the catcher's position really better than what the Yankees currently have at those spots?
Yankee 3b--the experts already seem to have this spot as a major weakness/question mark...but didn't Kelly Johnson hit 16 HRs last year for crissakes which was many more than the combined amount of all the 3bmen the Yanks used last year?
Sure they lost Cano, but it's VERY POSSIBLE the Yanks will use a competent 2b who won't HURT the team.
This is NOT mission impossible. I believe Ryan can handle 2b very well defensively if Roberts goes down with a long term injury. The Yanks don't need a "great hitter" at every position...do they? NOPE!

And what about centerfield? Yanks have Ellsbury and the Redsox have....who?

We can move onto the pitching staff....is Uehara going tocontinue to be Bruce Sutter-like?
What about John Lackey...getting any younger?
Is Ivan Nova a "good young pitcher",YES or No? The answer certainly isn't NO...is it? Of course not.

Do the Rays appear to be a "powerhouse" team?
If Longoria goes down - THEY GO DOWN. The experts hardly ever mention that.

The experts love to pick on the #5 spot of the Yankee rotation as if the other teams have all-stars at the back end of their rotations.

I hope the Yanks make the experts eat a large portion of Yankee sh!t.
