Good advice provided in that article. For sometime now I have had the idea that the Yankees are going to find a way to land Tulo. If they were to land a "big money" pitcher I think it would most likely Lester but that would hinge on the status of CC Sabathia. They should be looking for ways to get rid of the potentially returning druggist as well.

I think its great advice. I'd love to get Tulo but honestly I just don't think the Yankees have the players to trade for. Ron (59) would definitely agree with the last line of that article as would I. Not to sure about the money (I believe $12.5M) and much more if he was an extended contract but he's be a great pick up. But that would also ask the question what to do with Beltran if he comes back next season healthy.

Rob remember the Jints & Bums are on ESPN tonight. Surely you get ESPN don't you? And I'm sorry I promised never to call you Shirley.

Ah, that's ok, you, only you can call me Shirley....LMAO.....just don't call me late for dinner....!

Yep, I do get ESPN, MLB, BUT....the effing Bums games are blacked out on my DirecTv...If I had Time Warner Cable, (tho' ESPN is broadcasts on both DTV and TWB-Cable), TWB-C, has exclusive broadcast rights, so DTV gets blacked out by ESPN for all Bums games. With the exception of 2 games all effing year on DTV....!

If I want to see a Bums game, I gotta go over to my sisters, to watch a game with my brother in law. I watched the last 2 games, but not today, unfortunately.

I love Bums/Giants rivalry games, and we got a heckuva rivalry going. Yet, I don't think obtaining Uggla, or Peavy are the answers. Sure, tho' I'd like to see Peavy return to CY Young form, but I don't see it.

Whaddya think of Kerhsaw's 2 hitter yesterday? The kid is incredible, but you knew that.

I don't like to mention both Koufax and Kershaw in the same breath, as I hear constantly from L.A. Sports News. But........the kid is making it harder NOT To mention in the same breath, as the GREAT Koufax...!!

Yet, there will never be another Koufax, Randy Johnson may of been as close as it gets, yet he too was no Koufax. Sure he was a K, machine, but not Koufax, not Gibson, Marichal, just my opinion....

I know you of all posters, and a few others, enjoy the Golden Era of MLB of the 50-60s, as much as anyone, and will there ever really be another Mick or Mays???? I doubt it, I know Griffey Jr. may of been the closest we will see to Mays....Mick, I've yet to see another Mick....!

DiMaggio, forget it, there will never be another Joltin Joe...

How many people forget after DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak, he continued the next day after his streak was broken, to hit in another 16 straight games, reaching base safely in 82 of 83 games. We will never see something like this again, IMO. The one record I doubt can ever be broken.

BTW-Did you hear Torre's HOF Induction Speech...? Personally I found it very good, touching, and enjoyed his speech quit a bit.....esp. when he asked for a advance on his salary from Ted Turner, and Turner told Joe to Rent...! Ah oh, Joe knew his time would be short, or Turner wouldn't keep a leash on Joe, had he of not lost that 8 game NL West lead, in I believe 81, to the Bums. Yep, Braves led by 8 games on Sept. 1st, and lost the Pennant to those effing Lasorda led Bums.....

did i ever say, I despised Tommy Lasorda.... I'll go to my death bed, saying as much.....

Plus I don't recall the Golden Years, counting where a batter left off the previous year, and tacking on his consecutive hits, to the next year. I don't recall that ever happening until these latter years, which to me is B.S....!

Speaking of DiMaggio, did you know that he didn't make the HOF until his 3rd year of eligibility. How the hell does that happen?

They got Peavy because of his record against the Dodgers. Supposingly he's a Dodger killer. God I hope so.
