I watched the defensive movie, and pretty much all of kobe's blocks are with his left arm. I didn't ever notice that, that's sort of interesting ha.

That quote was from the site you posted the video. I'm not going to claim Kobe is a hog, because imo he's not, and has come a long way from that stigma. However, how does him playing good defense prove he isn't a ball hog?

Anyway, back on topic. That was a brilliant mix. You should really make more, that was just awesome man.

 

Ball hogs are only offensive minded and slack off on D and play little or no defense.

THe reason Kobe is so superior to everyone else in the league is how well he can be play on the offensive side AND the defensive side.

He is capable of scoring 30+ pts while shutting down the best player on the other team (guard) to less than their season avg.

While you may not be able to make an argument that "Playing good defense proves Player A is not a ball hog" because that may not be true, but you could definitely make an argument for Kobe.

I think "generally" would be a better choice of words. AI could perhaps be considered a ball hog; throughout his career, and we all know how much he hustles on D.

True. But kobe has been known to take nights off on the defensive end. When he wants, yes. I agree. But he's not the only excellent offensive player that can play good D.

Of course he is more then capable, but so are other players.

You could make an argument, but I don't see how it's correct. Defense and Offense are two separate things. You could be the most hopeless offensive player, but be an excellent defender. And vice versa. So, for Kobe to be a good defensive player bares no relevance to him forcing things, and in general taking too many shots.

While, I'm just going to state again, I do not think Kobe is a ball hog, but I don't see how a mix tape of Kobe playing good defense proves he isn't a ball hog....
