Anybody know where I can get a great apple turnover? I don't mean an apple sauce turnover, I'm talking about a turnover with real apples. If not a turnover, how about an apple tart? Again, I don't mean an apple sauce tart.

They didn't have anything fried but they did have baked apple pie. It was good and it was cheap. I would gladly have paid more for a better one. The two I got had four pieces of apple and seven pieces of apple in them. Crust was surprisingly good. Too much gooey filler in the middle though.
My Alabama grandmother used to make the world's best fried pies, mostly apple. I'd give a big chunk of change for one of those.
I think I might just try getting a Costco apple pie. They're kind of huge, a lot more than I want but maybe they can be frozen so I could just thaw out a slice whenever I wanted one.

I love chocolate butter cream frosting, especially when studded with pecans but I don't like chocolate cake batter. I really like yellow cake with chocolate butter cream frosting and lots of pecans. Now, stick some Haagen Daaz nearby and wow oh wow. Maybe an ice cold glass of milk, which, incidentally, is off my diet per doctor's orders. Can't have chocolate either. Also, no nuts. No bananas. No cheese. No oranges or orange juice. No spinach. No artichokes. No avocado. No beans. No grapefruit or grapefruit drink. No cola. No cottage cheese. No tomatoes. Have to limit my fluids.
Love onions. Try eating one like an apple. Just call me bad Bob.

La Provence is close to us and I've tried their turnover and their tart and they are filled with apple sauce. I felt like I really got cheated because the clerk assured us it was made with apples. A nasty lie.
I'd even settle for a cherry turnover or tart if it had cherries in it and not just cherry flavored gelatin of some sort.

Moda center doesn't have anything palatable. Oh, I guess I can drink their lemonade and eat a hot dog but that's about it.
The son of the owner of the Acropolis used to be a Trail Blazer ticket partner of mine. Had no idea they made turnovers.

The one in Uptown is near Burnside on NW 23rd. I know right where that is. I might stop by there after I have to to to the VA hospital today. Thanks
