The guy has to pay his bills somehow. http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-11-03/nicolas-cage-compulsive-spender/full/ The way he spends money, however, I would argue he's wasting his talent. He should run for Congress instead.
Guys, watch any Nicholas Cage movie and there will be a scene, or scenes, where he randomly starts running or rushing, usually with dramatic music. Always!
For me, I can never understand anyone spending their millions away. Then again, my wife gives me only $40/month.
Sounds like a great opportunity for PA. Con Air 2: Blazer team plane! Staring Nicolas Cage as Bob Whitsitt.
My favorite moment of Nic Cage recently was in Knowing. After the plane crash you see in the trailers Nic's character runs out onto the field and there is a survivor that is just a gigantic ball of fire staggering around trying to get help. What does Nic Cage's character does? Run by man turned into gigantic ball of fire and yells, "HEY!!!!!" at him instead of trying to put him out. This just got me. At the end of the movie too there is a sequence where Nic just has this facial expression that says "Why did I do this movie, why am I this desperate, how did I think this script was good, god I want to kill myself" and that is my second favorite recent Nic Cage moment.
I actually watched this movie on fx when i couldn't sleep one night, it would have been so much better if it was like this parody trailer.
That movie is by far my favourite Nicholas Cage film. I hope this financial difficulty leads to a sequel to the Wicker Man remake, hopefully involving twice the women punching and bearsuits.
