Watching the pregame show yesterday and will admit that I find Obermann to have an abrasive personality, then wondered who this Dirk Hayhurst guy was. (never heard of him) . Upon finding out he was a failed minor league prospect I got irritated by his comments on Pedros wardrobe. Somehow I have the feeling that Pedro Martinez had more knowledge about the game than Hayhurst. Today I saw Prices comments addressing Verducci and Hayhurst as nerds, one who failed at the game, and the other who was not even a water boy. Did get a chuckle out of that and would say that the sportscasters who never played between the lines might be a bit more reserved in their comments.
