<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Vince Carter didn?€™t use the same words you or I might to describe how he?€™s been playing, but he admitted he hasn?€™t been doing enough lately. Last night was the first time Carter broke 20 in the Nets?€™ last five games and his 11 first-half shots were one more than he had in the last two first halves combined and two more than he had all game against Portland. Not coincidentally, the Nets haven?€™t played well these five games. As we?€™ve said before, after Jason Kidd, Carter is the most important Net. Richard Jefferson can average 24, but it won?€™t have the same impact as Carter averaging 25 points and six assists. So last night against the Knicks, Carter came out more aggressively to start the game by design. He should do it every game, but at least he?€™s acknowledging he needs to do more. ?€œI wanted to play better in general,?€? he said. ?€œI haven?€™t played a solid game in general. I just wanted to play. I was disappointed in myself.</div> Source This was taken after the loss to the Knicks. Now my question; is he all talk? You look at the boxscore and he did score 20 points today, but in no way does that tell the whole story. It's also worth mentioning that he put the Nets on his back late in the 4th quarter, but where was he the first 3 quarters? At one point, he was 2-8 and didn't even look to get aggressive. Does he not realize we need him early in the game too? No way am I completely blaming him for the loss today, but c'mon, if you say that you need to do something, then do it!

Its funny how Cater is the scapegoat of this lame team. But they cant see the BIG TOs Kidd be committin' late in the 4th quarters(Celts,Cats,Knicks,Clips,etc....)
