Who watched BBC's MOTD yesterday? Although i was gutted at the result and Liverpool's inablity to break down sides when having all that possesion the most annoying episode was the performance of Ian Wright. As a so called presenter i found myself getting infuriated with his totally biased "Arsenal are great" and his smirking and grinning. Alan Hansen to his credit was the total professional. He must have been hurting inside but still kept a subjective view and correctly applauding Arsenal's tactics and general play. Even at the end Wright made a condescending statement about Liverpool were unlucky to have drawn Arsenal in the 3rd Round. The Guy is a complete joke and i cannot wait until Arsenal get dumped out of the competition only to see his reaction. He is a bad loser and that will hopefully be proved. That said Arsenal deserved their win and Wenger got his tactics spot on . If it was n't for Ian Wright i would like to say good luck in the next round - but alas i hope you get Bolton away!
Relax, you got Phil Thompson on skysports. Ian Wright is compleyely out of his depth as a football pundit... Cirque de Cebrit? is more his style. Arsenal did play well though I thought Liverpool were going to pull it back at 2-1. Unfotunate for Liverpool that Carragher went to ground too easily and didn't just clatter the ball into the stands.
Although wrighty is an arsenal ledgend and arsenal did fully deserve to win i do feel he was unfair and very biased towards arsenal. i feel bad for liverpool fans who had to persist through wrights comments. i would feel pure hatred if towards alan hanson if liverpool had won and started gobbing off like wright did. but there is no doubting that Arsenal deserved to win the match 100% Bring on the 9th of january i say
Wrighty is so biassed, we dominated possession and had most chances, but tactically Arsenal were correct. I felt we should of won that game easily with all the chances in the second half, we need to improve our service!
Wrighty is biased but i dont really mind it. He usually does say his own opinion but just usually grinns all the time when Arsenal or England have won
