My idea is to set up another subforum for our gamethreads. 2 days after the game, I'll move the thread to the gamethread section. We can use these gamethreads for reference, to find replays about plays, and to laugh at ourselves for being completely wrong and stupid. There would be an index thread, with links to each gamethread, ordered chronologically. The decision is up to you, as posters, and all votes are valued. Please say why you like the idea, or why you don't. Another option presented by Petey: An Index in the general section, with links to the gamethreads in chronological order.
I like it. Great idea. I don't think you need a whole 'nother subforum, though, so maybe Petey's idea is better. I personally don't mind either way.
I voted for indexing them in the general section. I think the previews would grab the attention of incoming users. The reason I think is I don't think a newcomer would know immediately that we have this game preview system, so the previews wouldn't get read as much. Either way, I think its a great idea because when I need to find an old preview to look back on, its always a pain to do.
My suggestion, if this is implemented, is to sticky last game and next game threads. Game threads from 2 games ago and older would be moved to the GT subforum. People want to comment on games after the fact for a day or two (maybe more). The stickies would highlight the next/previous games.
I'm going with the index too. Another sub-forum just pushes the 1st new topic further down the page. -Petey
Yeah, I like an idea of the index. Have a chart of the full schedule, and update it with the link to the game thread as time goes on. Maybe throw a link to a box score too, soemthing like that.
Fine, I was very wrong and you were right about Harris. I was right about the Indians sucking hard and you were right about Harris. In my books, we are even.
