Despite everything I've read about us drafting a swingman (I think you guys are hoping for a guy like Igoudala) I think It's a bad idea, yah we kinda need one but I don't want a young guy, you can say we have tallent now so we can wait for a guy to develope, but even considering injuries, we were a lottery team, so I think we need help now. More than a swingman we need a center, and not a project center, somebody who can help us now. Battie is okay but he's getting older and is just not good enough to compete with shaq (not that anyone is) cato is in the same boat. Would the clips give up maggette for francis, or even Francis and something else (i know he's got a big contract but i don't frankly care, we can make it work.) If they would this is the ideal team next year. PG. Jameer Nelson 5'11 SG. Corey Maggette 6'6 SF. Grant Hill 6'8 PF. Dwight Howard 6'11 C. Andrieskivicus or whatever, or Channing Frye would be okay. Bench: Hedo Turkoglu Deshawn Stevenson Tony Battie Kelvin Cato Julius Hodge Someone tell me what would be better? I'm just trying.

I think we could get Maggette for Francis and I like his style of play so I would like that trade. I also think that you brought up a great point about our C's having to compete with Shaq. Honestly, I didn't think to much about that and that changes my mind a lot. I like the foreign guy (not even gonna try to spell it) and Channing Frye is good too. I would like to land either and hopefully they will still be on the board when we pick (Since Warriors like Frye and the foreign dude seems high on many team's boards). I am really looking forward to the draft this year and I think it is going to be very interesting to see who the Magic go after. I think that the projected roster that you posted would be better because Jameer and Dwight would both be able to be more crutial parts of the offense and that will help their development. Maggette is a nice swingman and if something were to happen to our SF's he could always play their too. If we did get Maggette I think we should draft one of the centers that you said. Our lineup would be better and I think we could make a run for the playoffs.
Clippers already have Livingston at point, so I doubt they would trade their starting SG for a guy who should play point guard. If I were the Magic, I would keep Francis for at least one more year and let him play his value up. It's probably at an all-time low right now, and there will be no way Orlando won't get lowballed if they put Francis on the market. Drafting Channing Frye would be a good idea as he's someone who could contribute right away and has an NBA body. Him and Howard, two shotblockers, could be monsters down low. With the MLE, I would sign Zeljko Rebraca to add even more size to the lineup and to provide some post offense off the bench for the team. Roster would look like this: PG: Francis/Nelson SG: Stevenson/Turkoglu SF: Hill/Turkoglu PF: Howard/Rebraca/Frye C: Frye/Battie/Rebraca This would give Orlando probably the biggest frontcourt in the East.
I was thinking about this and i thaught of a line-up: We draft at #11 Sean May then Trade Cristie to the Bucks since they have #1 draft pick and say they pick Bogut, do a S&T for Gadzuric it will leave us with a good Center and some cap room. Then Trade Kato for a S&T to New Orleans for Lee Nailon which is a good Vet and gives us more cap room. Sign Free Agent Damon Staudamire(Swish15 isnt going to like this.) Giving us a good Vets in the Forward positions and Guard positions. Drafting Hodge and May Signing Hunter again and the 2nd of our 2nd rounders maybe have them play in Europe. Starting Line-up: Pg: Staudamire Sg: Francis Sf: Hill Pf: Howard C: Gadzuric 2nd String: Pg: Nelson Sg: Stevenson Sf: Turk Pf: May C: Battie 3rd String: Pg: Hodge Sg: Nalion Sf: Garrity Pf: Hunter C: Kusun

What about trading Francis and Cato for Pierce? That would give us a great lineup: PG- Jameer Nelson SG- Paul Pierce SF- Grant Hill PF- Dwight Howard C- Channing Frye I would like that a lot.

And you also got a PF and PG which will take touches away from Dwight and Jameer AKA our future. You called it right when you said I wouldn't like it.
