Didn't you get the memo? It's not "global warming" anymore. It's "climate change".

Because you don't understand something doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Because when it's hot, it's global warming, when it's cold it's global warming, when there's a hurricane it's global warming...

I think Bill Clinton said it best. Rough quote, "it's spring, which Gore takes as evidence of global warming."

I'll have to dig up the actual quote.

"it's spring, otherwise known to Al Gore as proof of global warming."

    That's the exact quote.

You guys do understand that warmer temperatures lead to unusual weather events, right?

A desert refers to an area of low rainfall... not temperature. There is one in Alaska, and as someone who unfortunately had to visit quite a few of the sandy ones in the military, I can say they can be quite cold too.

It's been getting warmer for the past 10,000 years. Otherwise we'd still be in the ice age.

No. They do not understand that. I am a pretty conservative on most of my political thinking, but it's obvious that the climate is odd. I tend to think global warming is real

I look for my cues from the insurance industry and, of course, the fact that what 98% of climatologists believe it exists (please don't point out individual examples of crappy scholarship because I do understand that there are bad scholars in in every industry).

They insurance industry wouldn't invest a crap load of money on lobbying environmental issues unless the science was there.

You do understand that unusual weather events have occurred as long as the Earth has existed, right?

Which some people think is about 7000-8000 years. What's your point? Ignorance is ignorance.

1: Weather (your pictures) and Climate are two different things. Global Warming theories are related to climate.

2: For a long time now, those who study and support the theory of Global Warming have talked about how a warming climate on earth would lead to more extremes of weather.

I am a Global Warming skeptic, but it does no good to muddle the issue with bumper sticker level arguments.

The issue isn't global warming in of itself. The issue is man's impact on global climate change. I have seen no convincing argments to support the idea that man has had a significant impact.

Yes, and they also said the hurricanes would increase in strength with each passing year, which hasn't happened.

Thankfully, the religion of AGW is almost dead, and all that subscribe fully to it now are charlatans, grant whores, and/or followers.
