If Grant Hill plays 75 of the 82 games this season where do you see the magic at the end of the regular season? Just looking at it on paper I mean you would have to think we would be a lock for top 5. I mean a healthy hill with nelson, howard, hedo and darko would be a crazy starting 5 and having a whole unit, in carlos, dooling, redick, and battie coming off the bench. I think we could battle for top 5 in the east its not to far fetched, granted no one else gets injured.

I see us being maybe the #5 seed in the East. Grant Hill is a great player when healthy, whenever that is, and puts up productive numbers. He has avg. with the Magic: 16pts/6.2rbs/4.1apg/1.1stls/.4blks in 135gms for the Magic in 5 seasons. His career avgs. are still: 20.6pts/7.3rbs/5.6apg/1.5stls/.5blks

Hopefully the Magic can have him healthy and he can be successful for us and help us make the playoffs.

Yea, I know. we really needed him last year, i think we could have gotten to the playoffs had we had him for even half the season. He plays so smart that it forces the other teams best player to guard him.

47-50 is very reasonable although I see possibly getting 45 wins. If Grant Hill plays at least 55+ gms, then the Magic will be in good shape.

He is the icing on the cake... We can go higher and hopefully crack the first round of the playoffs with a healthy avg grant hill. People forget the man can play when he is on the court. I just hope he stays healthy so we can make a run late in the season...

Smockrockz, I hear you. This guy (when healthy) puts up good numbers. With defenses already going to worry about Nelson, Redick, and Turkoglu, Dwight Howard is gonna do even BETTER with Grant Hill around becomes G.Hill is a good passer.

hill also brings intangibles to the table. he'll keep the team poised and make sure that everyone stays focused. he's a born leader and although nelson has showed some leadership qualities... he doesn't have the experience that hill does. gotta love the guy when healthy.

are you guys predicting hedo start at the 2 guard spot?

    #5 seed?
    50 wins?

The Magic should be looking to make the playoffs before looking to become an "elite" team.

I can say these teams are better without thinking much: Miami, New Jersey, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, that right there already puts them at #6. Also you can add Washington as being capable of being better, so I think a #5 seed will be a lot harder to come by, healthy Hill or not.

Obviously a lot depends on Dwight's improvements (which I expect to be good), and also how a guy like Darko plays, but it's a lot easier said than done. The East has some fairly good teams.

OG15, I absolutely agree with you. It's gonna be hard to contend in the East this year. You also forgot Indiana btw.

Hey, MickyEyez, Hedo will start at the 3 while Hill's at the 2.

    Our starting lineup:
    PG:Nelson
    SG:G.Hill
    SF:Turkoglu
    PF:Battie/Howard
    C:Howard/Battie

Grant Hill is a good leader, defender, and scorer. The guy is an overall talent and hopefully does play since it's his last year here.

Yeah, I here you D-Money but don't get ahead of yourself. This is only preseason and it doesn't really matter that much. But I see where you're coming from because we don't have a lot of key players.
