This was penned nearly a month ago, prior to the George Floyd murder and ensuing protests/riots. The message is just as relevant - even more so, I'd say. OK, it's no secret that I've been a Donald Trump supporter - through thick and thin. However, I've become much more contemplative in light of his responses to these recent (and other) events. No way I'd vote for Joe Biden, though. Maybe I'll just follow up on that dream my wife and I have had of packing up and moving to the Azores. Anyway, Kareem makes some wonderful remarks. The coach will use words like “heart,” “honor,” and “teamwork”. To movie audiences, these moments may seem corny, but in real life, when someone you admire and respect speaks, their words can have a great impact. It’s one of the qualities that makes them great. For the past few months, this country has faced a formidable opponent in Covid-19. It’s been kicking our butts across every state and the statistics are only getting worse. America has a deep bench of expertise and we know how to come together as a team when we need to. Yet, faced with uncomfortable truths and frightening inconsistencies in leadership, we’ve started to unravel here and there. Rather than pull together in a crisis, we’re fighting each other. And that’s leading to even more deaths. One thing we could use right now is a passionate rallying speech from our president that inspires us all to do the right thing, not just for ourselves, but for our country. It is the speech Trump should deliver, not because he wants to be reelected, but because it would address the country’s major concerns, end the political squabbling, provide a reasonable plan going forward, and give Americans confidence that their government is working to protect their health and economic concerns. It needs to be the speech of a statesman not a, well, Trump. If I were Trump’s speechwriter, using the lessons I learned from great talks I heard in my basketball career, this is what I would give him to deliver:........................
By virtue of observation alone, it’s obvious Trump does not have a speechwriter. If he actually does have one, then that individual should be fired for gross incompetence.....and a stunning lack of vocabulary. DT (or his “speechwriter) needs to invest in a Thesaurus........

Yeah that is outstanding and if there is one person totally and completely incapable to writing or delivering a speech such as that it would be our current President. And that is precisely why you cannot vote for him.
Dude, you missed “winning”, “losers”, “HUGE “ (“YUGE”), “the best”, “the greatest” (“the world has ever seen”). And let’s don’t forget how many times he has used the word “unfair” when referring to how he is being treated. But we’ve made a good start.....
Throw in a sleepy Joe, a couple of "thugs and anarchists" references, a not so subtle Q dog whistle and we are set.
If I were his speechwriter, I'd quit, and then jump off a bridge. That, or write something even more flagrant that finally is the nail in the coffin of his re-election (maybe that's what's happening).

The really sad part is i couldnt tell if this was a joke or something he actually said. The dude is that fucking dumb.
I think about jumping off a bridge whenever I have to hear Trump's voice. Sometimes I fumble with the mute button when Trump comes on the air and then I'm in trouble and filled with a memory that I'm desperate to erase.
Not true. Here is his speech writer in action now and an example of some of his work. They needed to find someone of similar iq to trump.
